SHOULD WE BE LETTING ADDITIONAL WORKERS INTO THE COUNTRY WHEN WE HAVE

SO MANY OF OUR OWN CITIZENS CURRENTLY OUT OF WORK?

 

Approximately one million legal immigrants are entering our country every year. 

That's almost 100,000 persons per month.

 

It's estimated that about 75% of these immigrants are seeking work here.  

 

Thus the economy needs to create about 75,000 new jobs each month

just to absorb the newly arriving immigrants.  

 

Since we are woefully short of new jobs GreatDepression2.org recommends

immediately imposing a temporary MORATORIUM on all legal immigration.

  • Green Cards available for those who are close relatives of citizens or those

              sponsored by employers: 620,000/annually

  • Green Cards available through lottery:  55,000/annually
  • H-1B Visas granted annually: 65,000.
  • Cumulative number of H-1B holders working in the US:  900,000
  • L1 Visas granted annually:  ???
  • Cumulative number of L1 Visa holders working in the US: ???
